Download Canasta Club for Android and it installs with its own icon. When Android asks about installing outside the Play Store, allow it — that prompt is standard for direct downloads. (A Play Store listing is in the works.)
The App Store version is on the way. Until then: open the game in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen — you'll get an icon and a full-screen game that's app-like in every way that matters.
